The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday carried out a high-level verification exercise at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Leading the party’s delegation, National Secretary Ajibola Basiru, alongside members of the National Working Committee (NWC), received the electoral body’s team tasked with scrutinizing the party’s documents, financial records, and personnel.
Top departmental directors of the party were also in attendance as the exercise formed part of INEC’s regulatory oversight to ensure compliance with electoral guidelines.
The development underscores ongoing efforts by the electoral umpire to strengthen transparency and accountability within Nigeria’s political parties.
