Edo — Troops of 322 Army Regiment, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police and local vigilantes, have rescued a kidnapped victim from suspected kidnappers in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Zagazola Makama gathered from military sources that the operation took place at about 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 7, 2026, following an engagement with the suspected kidnappers along Juju Junction, behind Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma.
The security team reportedly engaged the criminals, forcing them to abandon their victim and flee the area.
The victim was subsequently rescued and handed over to the Nigeria Police for further action.
Security forces are continuing efforts to track down the fleeing suspects and strengthen operations against kidnapping and other criminal activities in the area.
