Suspected local criminals have killed a civilian and rustled 25 cattle during an attack in Ratt Village, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Zagazola Makama gathered from military sources that the incident occurred at about 5:42 a.m. on Sept. 8, 2026.
Troops of Sector 4, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), responded to a distress report on the cattle rustling incident and proceeded to the affected community.
On arrival, the troops discovered that the criminals had killed one civilian before taking away the victim’s 25 cattle.
Security forces have commenced efforts to identify and apprehend the perpetrators and recover the rustled cattle.
