The Nasarawa State Police Command has dismissed widespread reports claiming that pupils of St. Peter’s Foundation Secondary School in Rukubi, Doma Local Government Area, were abducted on Friday.

In a statement, the police confirmed that there was no abduction and that the reports circulating on social media were false. The command urged members of the public to verify information before sharing to avoid spreading panic and misinformation.

According to Vanguard, the police reassured residents that security agencies are actively monitoring schools and communities in the state to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Authorities also called on school administrators, parents, and the wider community to maintain vigilance and promptly report any suspicious activities to security forces.
