US Drones Hover Over Nigeria’s North, Tracking Terror Cells, Saboteurs — Man Alleges

A Nigerian man has sparked online debate after claiming that unmanned U.S. surveillance drones have been quietly operating over Nigeria’s northern region, monitoring terrorist bases and gathering extensive intelligence on their movements and communications.

According to the viral claim, the drones have been compiling a comprehensive database of insurgent activities — including communication links, supply routes, and internal networks — dating back several years. The man further alleged that the operation has also identified individuals within Nigeria’s military, both serving and retired, who have allegedly sabotaged counter-terror efforts or diverted U.S.-supplied weapons to terrorist groups.

“You made the list,” he warned in his post, suggesting that those involved in aiding or arming insurgents could soon face exposure or consequences.

While no official confirmation has been issued by either the Nigerian military or U.S. authorities, the bold claim has stirred widespread speculation. Many Nigerians have taken to social media to question whether the alleged surveillance reflects a deepening U.S. intelligence footprint in the country’s counterterrorism efforts — or merely another unverified rumor amid the region’s tense security atmosphere.

If true, the operation could mark a turning point in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism, as drone intelligence has the potential to unmask hidden networks long accused of undermining the war from within.
