Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE have arrested three suspected illicit drug dealers during a late-night raid on a suspected drug hideout in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The operation was carried out at about 11:00 p.m. on August 23, 2026, when troops of Sector 1 stormed a location identified as “Downstairs/Upstairs” in Mista Ali, believed to be a hub for illicit drug activities.
Security sources said the raid resulted in the arrest of three suspects, while troops also recovered quantities of substances suspected to be illicit drugs from the location.
Following the operation, the suspects and recovered exhibits were handed over to the Keystone Outpost in Mista Ali for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
The latest raid is part of sustained security operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks and curbing activities linked to illicit drugs and other forms of crime in vulnerable communities across Plateau State.
Security authorities have continued to intensify operations against criminal elements, particularly in areas considered potential breeding grounds for activities capable of threatening peace and public safety.
