Operations at Denver International Airport were briefly disrupted on Friday morning after a United Airlines aircraft struck a de-icing truck, knocking the vehicle onto its side and sending one worker to the hospital.
The incident involved a Boeing 737-824 operating as United flight UA605 from Denver to Nashville.
Airport authorities said the accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. on March 6 as the aircraft was preparing for departure.
Spokespersons for Denver International Airport and United Airlines confirmed that a de-icing truck made contact with the aircraft during ground operations. The impact caused the truck to topple onto its side on the airport apron.
An employee of the de-icing contractor involved in the operation was injured and taken to hospital for medical attention.
However, officials said it remains unclear whether the injured worker was the driver of the truck at the time of the collision.
No injuries were reported among passengers or crew on board the aircraft.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the ground collision, which briefly halted activity in the immediate area while emergency teams responded.
