Kaduna was aglow with history and hope as Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, played Chief Host at the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Nigeria Aid Group of Islam, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), held at the iconic Umaru Yar’Adua Hall.
The golden jubilee marked five decades of faith-inspired service to humanity, offering a moment of reflection on JNI’s enduring legacy of compassion, sacrifice, and social responsibility. Governor Uba Sani paid glowing tribute to the organisation’s visionary founders and applauded its far-reaching contributions to education, healthcare delivery, social welfare, Hajj coordination, advocacy, and disaster response across Nigeria.
In his address, the Governor acknowledged the evolving challenges facing the organisation—ranging from funding pressures to rising logistical demands—while reaffirming the unwavering commitment of the Kaduna State Government to support JNI’s noble mission through purposeful partnership and shared responsibility. He stressed that institutions which place humanity at the centre of their work deserve encouragement and collaboration, especially in times of social and economic strain.
Governor Uba Sani also used the occasion to restate his administration’s vision for Kaduna State, anchored on peace, security, inclusion, and sustainable development. He highlighted steady progress in restoring public confidence through the Kaduna Peace Model, expanding opportunities for young people via vocational and skills-based training, and rebuilding trust between government and citizens.
In a moment marked by humility and gratitude, the Governor accepted the honour of serving as Patron of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, alongside an Award of Excellence conferred on him. He described the recognitions not as personal accolades, but as affirmation of a shared commitment to compassion, unity, and service.
As JNI steps into its next chapter, Governor Uba Sani reaffirmed that the Kaduna State Government remains resolute in strengthening its partnership with the organisation as it continues its noble work in the service of humanity.
