Uganda has completed the construction of the state-of-the-art Hoima City Stadium and Hoima City Arena, marking a major milestone in its preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The newly built 20,000-seat stadium and 2,000-capacity arena, jointly costing $130 million, are part of Uganda’s commitment as a co-host nation alongside Kenya and Tanzania.
Officials say the modern facilities are designed to meet international standards, positioning Hoima as a key sports hub in East Africa ahead of the continental football showpiece.
