President Tinubu on Sunday hailed what he described as “a decisive victory against fear,” announcing the successful rescue of all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State.
“Thanks to the efforts of our security forces over the last few days, all the 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State have been rescued,” the President declared, commending the coordinated operation that brought the victims home safely.
According to Presidency sources, the rescue mission involved joint action by security agencies who combed difficult terrains and tracked the kidnappers’ movements. Officials say the operation reflects the government’s sharpened intelligence and rapid-response strategy aimed at dismantling criminal networks across the country.
The President further reassured Nigerians that the government will intensify security operations nationwide, insisting that no community—no matter how remote—will be left unprotected.
With the rescued worshippers reunited with their families, the Eruku community erupted in relief, marking what residents described as a “moment of answered prayers and restored hope.”
The Presidency reiterated that similar operations will continue until every Nigerian feels secure in their places of worship, homes, schools, and highways.
