In the true spirit of giving, the NASARA Foundation has brought joy to hundreds of vulnerable children, distributing Sallah meat and food packages to 200 orphans in Birnin Kebbi.
The humanitarian gesture, funded by Kebbi State First Lady Zainab Nasare, was aimed at ensuring the children feel a sense of belonging and happiness during the festive season.
Speaking during the distribution, Chief Press Secretary Khadijat Saidu said the initiative is designed to put smiles on the faces of the orphans before, during, and after Sallah, while urging well-meaning individuals to support the less privileged.
Also speaking, the foundation’s State Coordinator, Abdurasheed Bala, revealed that beyond the orphans, about 60 groups had earlier benefited from similar food support across the state.
The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities through wide-ranging programs, including education, healthcare, and empowerment initiatives.
For many of the beneficiaries, this Sallah will not just be a celebration—but a reminder that they are not forgotten.
