Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, is set to commission the first-ever Digital Learning Centre owned by a local government council in the state, marking a major leap in grassroots digital education.
The historic facility, built by the Executive Chairman of Katsina Local Government Council, Hon. Isah Miqdad, will be formally inaugurated on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10:00am, at Muhammad Dodo Primary School Lay-out, Katsina.
The centre is designed to expand access to digital education, strengthen ICT skills among young people, and bridge the technology gap at the local government level. It reflects Hon. Miqdad’s drive to reposition education through modern learning tools and prepare youths for opportunities in the digital economy.
According to the council, the project aligns with Governor Radda’s broader human capital development agenda, which prioritises education, innovation and technology-driven growth across the state.
Residents, education stakeholders, community leaders and members of the public have been invited to attend the commissioning, described as a landmark moment in Katsina Local Government’s journey toward inclusive and future-ready education.
The Digital Learning Centre is expected to serve as a hub for training, innovation and skills acquisition, reinforcing Katsina’s push to take digital learning from policy to practice at the grassroots.
