Speaking on Tuesday, Putin noted that while AI is transforming global systems at remarkable speed, it also poses a hidden threat: the creation of a generation that “just presses buttons” without the capacity for independent analysis. He stressed that no matter how sophisticated machines become, human judgment must remain at the core of decision-making.
“We must not allow our young people to lose their ability to think critically,” Putin emphasized, urging educators, policymakers, and parents to reinforce intellectual training and analytical skills as Russia advances technologically.
The President’s remarks come as AI tools increasingly shape learning, work, and daily life across the world. For Russia, Putin said, the challenge is to harness innovation without sacrificing the mental rigor needed to remain competitive on the global stage.
