President Tinubu Renames Azare Varsity After Late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi as an embodiment of knowledge, honestly, integrity and a great character in the love for unity of Nigeria as a country.

Paying a condolence visit to the deceased family in Bauchi Saturday, President Tinubu noted that the late Sheikh has positively impacted knowledge to people of the state,  Nigerian citizens, and even beyond.

Tinubu, also while describing the deceased as an embodiment of knowledge, honestly integrity, and a great character in the love for Nigeria, immortalized him with the renaming of Azare varsity as Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Federal University of Medical Sciences.

President Tinubu was Saturday in Bauchi when he paid a condolence visit to the deceased family house, as he also commiserate with the Bauchi state government, people of the state over the demise of the renowned Islamic scholar, and leader of the Tijjaniyya Movement in West Africa.

He said, “It’s a big day today to be able to condole all of you, the  family of the deceased, the state government, the people of Bauchi and the entire citizens of the country over this unavoidable loss”.

The Nigerian leader explained that late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi was kind to every member of his family, loved Nigeria and it’s unity, saying however that, “We all came from the Almighty Allah and to Him we should all return”.

Tinubu therefore immortalized the renowned Islamic cleric by  renaming the Azare varsity as Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, and prayed for the repose of soul of the deceased in Jannatul Firdaus.

Tinubu urged the Ummah to continue to pray for the peace, stability, economic prosperity and development of the country, and live with the values the deceased left behind, and prayed Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu was received at the late Sheikh’s family house by Dr. Bashir Dahiru Bauchi. The renowned cleric who died at the age of 102 years, left behind four wives, 100 children and over 300 grand and great grand children.

Governor Bala Mohammed has in a remark observed that the APC family in the state has not let the solem occasion down, having tumultuously besieged the convoy of the august visitor right from the airport down to all routes conveying the crowd.
