In a dignified and forward-looking ceremony, the Authority formally marked the transition of leadership from the outgoing Chief Executive, Engr. Farouk Ahmed, to the incoming Chief, Engr. Saidu Aliyu Mohammed—a moment that reaffirmed the institution’s enduring values of continuity, accountability and effective governance.

The handover, attended by senior officials and key stakeholders, symbolised a seamless transfer of responsibility anchored on professionalism and institutional memory. Commending the collective efforts of staff and partners, Engr. Farouk Ahmed reflected on milestones achieved during his tenure and urged sustained commitment to excellence and public service.
Taking the reins, Engr. Saidu Aliyu Mohammed pledged to build on existing foundations, deepen reforms and drive results-oriented leadership. He emphasised collaboration, transparency and innovation as cornerstones for delivering the Authority’s mandate in the next phase.

Beyond protocol, the ceremony sent a clear message: leadership change need not disrupt momentum. Instead, when guided by clear processes and shared purpose, transition becomes a catalyst for stability and progress—strengthening public trust and positioning the Authority for greater impact.
