….Security Agencies Vow Deeper Intelligence Sharing to Tackle Threats

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, has strengthened operational collaboration with the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) as part of renewed efforts to confront security challenges across the state.

The renewed partnership was underscored on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, during a courtesy visit by the Joint Force Air Component Commander, Operation Fansan Yamma, Sector 2, who also serves as Commander, 213 Forward Operating Base (FOB), NAF Katsina, Air Commodore C.E. Illoh, to the NSCDC State Command Headquarters in Katsina.

Air Commodore Illoh highlighted the long-standing cordial working relationship between the Air Force and the NSCDC, describing the Corps as a critical pillar in internal security, particularly in the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI).

> “NSCDC occupies a special and unique position in internal security and the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure,” the Air Commodore said, stressing the importance of credible intelligence sharing, inter-agency synergy and seamless collaboration at all levels.

Responding, Katsina State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant of Corps A.D. Moriki, warmly welcomed the Air Force commander and commended the NAF for its sustained commitment to addressing lingering security concerns in the state.

Commandant Moriki reaffirmed the strong operational bond between both agencies and assured of even greater cooperation and synergy in joint security efforts going forward.

Highlights of the visit included an inspection of the quarter guard, exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs, symbolising unity of purpose between the two security agencies.

The meeting signals a renewed resolve by security stakeholders in Katsina to tighten coordination, enhance intelligence-driven operations and reinforce public safety across the state.
