A source in Kebbi state has confirmed that Minister of state Defence, Mr Bello Matawalle, has paid unscheduled visit to some locations under military operations in Zuru emirate in Kebbi state.
The visit was to ascertain the level of operational efficiency of Fansan Yamma troops that are making impactful movement in reaching high density areas.
A sources indicated that bandits are at present being covered in a hideout with the kidnapped school children from Maga in Zuru emirate.
There is a report of meeting secretly with certain commanding officers leading the operation.
Minister was said to have sneaked into Zuru secretly in the morning with some military officers, in which they visited soldiers in the field do as to booster their morales at war front.
The visit was part of President Bola Tinubu’s directive for Matawalle to relocate to Kebbi in order to speed the rescue of mission of Maga school children kidnapped.
Matawalle had assured to systematic move to rescue the school children hitch free and urged people to support the security efforts to tackle all forms of crimes in the country.
