FRSC Katsina Hosts 213 Air Force Commander, Deepens Inter-Agency Cooperation

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Katsina Sector Command, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, received the newly deployed Commander of the 213 Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Nigerian Air Force, Katsina, Air Commodore CE Illoh, during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration.

Air Commodore Illoh, who also serves as the Air Component Commander of Operation Fansan Yamma Sector 2, said the visit was part of deliberate efforts to reinforce the existing working relationship among security and safety agencies in the state. He stressed that effective coordination remains critical to improving road safety, emergency response and overall security in Katsina.

According to him, the Nigerian Air Force values synergy with the FRSC, particularly in areas of rapid response to emergencies, information sharing and joint operations that impact public safety. He reaffirmed his readiness to work closely with the Corps and other stakeholders to ensure safer roads and a more secure environment for residents.

Responding, the FRSC Katsina Sector Commander, Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, congratulated Air Commodore Illoh on his new appointment and formally welcomed him to Katsina State. He described the visit as timely and significant, noting that it further cemented the strong bond between the two agencies.

Commander Lede expressed appreciation for the spirit of partnership demonstrated by the Air Force Commander, adding that the engagement provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue on practical ways to improve road safety operations and emergency management across the state.

He assured that the FRSC Katsina Command remains committed to translating the discussions into actionable joint initiatives that will enhance rescue operations, traffic management and the protection of lives and property.
