In a major boost to youth empowerment and educational support, the Member representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Dujuman Katsina, has revealed that about 420 constituents are set to gain employment in the Federal Government, while over 500 youths will benefit from brand-new machines to support small businesses.

He announced this during the unveiling of a scholarship scheme for 2,199 students from various tertiary institutions, held at the Musawa Local Government Secretariat on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Dujuman Katsina said the initiative is part of his long-term commitment to building a constituency where young people are equipped with both education and practical skills.

“Our support for students and youths will continue. We have secured 420 federal jobs, and more than 500 young people will receive new machines to help them start or expand their businesses. This is how we build a future where our youths are self-reliant and secure,” he stated.

He added that the empowerment programs will be ongoing, noting that development must be sustained across multiple stages not a one-time effort.

Chairman of the event, Alhaji Ahmad Tukur Jikamshi, praised the lawmaker for sustaining a legacy of service to the community.

“This is a legacy of goodwill, reflecting the values your late father stood for. In many ways, you are also following the exemplary footsteps of Governor Dikko Umar Radda,” he said.

He further commended Gwagware Foundation for its consistent contributions to educational and community development.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs, Rt. Hon. Ya’u Umar Gwajogwajo, described the empowerment scheme as a direct intervention capable of transforming livelihoods across the constituency.
