Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the dissolution of the management team of the Yobe State Specialist Hospital in Damaturu and announced the appointment of an Interim Management Committee to oversee the hospital’s operations.
The newly constituted committee will be chaired by Dr. Abubakar Yerima and is tasked with supervising the administration of the hospital while implementing measures to improve healthcare delivery.
According to the directive, the interim committee will manage the affairs of the facility for an initial period of six months.
The decision, authorities said, is aimed at strengthening the hospital’s operational efficiency and enhancing the quality of medical services provided to residents of the state.
The committee is also expected to review existing administrative structures and introduce reforms that will ensure improved patient care and better service delivery at the state’s flagship medical facility in Damaturu.
