The Borno State Government has announced a last-minute postponement of the presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly.
In a public-interest announcement issued on Sunday, the government said the budget presentation, earlier scheduled for Monday, December 15, 2025, by the Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, CON, mni, FNSE, has been deferred due to unforeseen circumstances.
According to the statement, a new date for the crucial budget exercise will be communicated to the public in due course.
The government expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may cause, appealing for the understanding of stakeholders and residents of the state.
The announcement was signed by Prof. Usman Tar, Honourable Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Borno State.
