Agency Joins Stakeholders at Digital Nigeria 2025 to Champion Innovation and Inclusion
ABUJA — The Borno State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (BICTDA) has joined other leading institutions and industry players at the Digital Nigeria International Conference and Exhibition 2025, holding in Abuja from November 11th to 13th.
The agency, led by its Executive Secretary, Engr. Mohammed Ahmed Kabir Wanori, FNSE, is actively participating in the three-day event, which serves as Nigeria’s premier platform for advancing digital innovation, policy dialogue, and technology investment.
The conference — themed “Innovation for a Sustainable Digital Future: Accelerating Growth, Inclusion, and Global Competitiveness” — is attracting policymakers, ICT experts, startups, and investors from across the country and beyond.
Representing Borno’s delegation alongside Engr. Wanori are the Board Chairman of BICTDA, Dr. Idris Yelwa, Prof. Mustapha Tijjani, and Engr. Dr. Mohammed Musa Aliyu, General Manager of RUWASSA, among other dignitaries and partners from the state’s technology ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Engr. Wanori reaffirmed Borno State’s commitment under Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s administration to harness technology for governance, youth empowerment, and socio-economic recovery. He noted that the agency’s participation reflects Borno’s growing presence in Nigeria’s digital transformation landscape.
“This conference provides an opportunity for Borno to share its progress, learn from national experiences, and build partnerships that will drive our vision for a digitally empowered state,” he said.
Participants at the conference are engaging in discussions on emerging technologies, digital literacy, cybersecurity, fintech, artificial intelligence, and policy innovation — all aimed at deepening Nigeria’s digital economy.
The Digital Nigeria International Conference is organized by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and remains the nation’s flagship event promoting a sustainable digital future.
