In a renewed effort to end insecurity, leaders of armed Fulani groups have pledged to embrace lasting peace following a dialogue with representatives from Charanci and Batagarawa Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
The peace meeting, held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Wurma town, Kurfi Local Government Area, brought together key stakeholders, including Batagarawa Council Chairman, Hon. Yahaya Lawal Kawo, traditional rulers, and delegates from the forest-based Fulani community.
According to reports by Militainment News, the session ended on a promising note, with Fulani leaders assuring their commitment to peaceful coexistence and an end to hostilities against neighboring communities.
Local authorities hailed the development as a hopeful step toward restoring security and rebuilding trust across affected areas of Katsina State.
