A philanthropist and politician in Bauchi State, Dr Bala Wunti, has congratulated the newly elected leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels, reaffirming his commitment to party supremacy and collective progress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dr Wunti said this during a congratulatory visit to the newly elected APC executives in Bauchi at the party’s secretariat.
Represented by Rt. Hon. Yahaya Miya, Dr. Wunti emphasised his readiness to work closely with the new leadership to ensure the party’s success in the forthcoming general elections.
He noted that his political family deliberately abstained from actively participating in the congresses that produced the current leadership in order to ensure fairness, which reveals his respect for democratic principles and the will of the people in Bauchi State.
“As a true democrat, it was important for us to allow the process to reflect the genuine will of party members,” he stated, adding that his presence at the APC state secretariat to pay allegiance to the new leadership was a clear demonstration of his belief in party unity and discipline.
He further assured the leadership and members of the APC of his loyalty and dedication to strengthening the party’s structure and electoral prospects.
Dr. Wunti also marked the occasion with a significant Ramadan gesture by donating 4,500 bags of rice and the sum of N65 million to be distributed among the state executive, the 20 local government executives, and critical stakeholders of the party.
The gesture reflects Dr. Wunti’s strong commitment to the welfare of party members and his belief in fostering unity, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
Dr Wunti reiterated that respect for party decisions and structures remains paramount and called on all members to rally behind the new leadership in the spirit of cohesion and shared purpose.
