The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the posting of DIG Mohammed Adamu Dankwara as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police overseeing the Department of Finance and Administration, marking another strategic reshuffle aimed at strengthening the Nigeria Police Force.
DIG Dankwara steps in following the retirement of DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya, who bowed out after more than 30 years of sterling and dedicated service to the nation. Until his elevation, Dankwara served as AIG in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, where he earned a reputation for exceptional leadership, rigorous professionalism, and unwavering commitment to duty.
In a statement issued by Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the IGP congratulated Dankwara and expressed full confidence that the seasoned officer will deploy his vast experience to bolster the administrative backbone of the Force. Egbetokun emphasized that the appointment aligns with his ongoing reforms to reposition the Police for improved efficiency and enhanced service delivery.
With the new posting, the Nigeria Police Force reiterates its commitment to securing the nation through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and performance-driven reforms.
