A boy identified as Aliyu has reportedly been shot dead in Wereng community, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State by suspected Berom Militia in continued targeted attacks.
Zagazola Makama gathered that the incident occurred at about 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026.
According to preliminary information, the victim was allegedly shot after he was targeted by suspected armed Berom militia members in the community.
Residents have been urged to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information that could further heighten tension in the area.
Security agencies are expected to investigate the incident and establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
