Breaking: C-Watch Arrests Suspected Procurement Agent Linked to Bandit Leader Kachalla Muhammadu

KATSINA — Operatives of the Katsina Community Watch Corps (C-Watch) have arrested a suspected procurement agent allegedly linked to notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Muhammadu, also known as Maha.
The suspect was reportedly living among residents while allegedly operating as part of a covert supply network used to obtain essential materials for the criminal group.
According to information surrounding the arrest, the suspect allegedly coordinated the procurement of rifles, motorcycles and other supplies, receiving funds believed to have been provided by members of the bandit group.
A video recorded following his arrest shows the suspect allegedly admitting that he received money from bandits and helped arrange the purchase of materials for them.
His arrest has drawn attention to the networks allegedly operating behind the scenes to provide armed groups with weapons, motorcycles and other logistical support.
Security authorities are expected to investigate the suspect’s alleged activities further, including his financial links, contacts and possible collaborators, to establish the full extent of the network.
The suspect remains an alleged accomplice, and his claims in the video should be subjected to proper investigation and due legal process before any definitive conclusion is reached.
Authorities are also expected to determine whether other individuals were involved in the alleged procurement chain and, where sufficient evidence exists, bring them before the appropriate court.
More details to follow as the investigation develops.
